You're like a sheriff in the Wild West, using the law to protect regular folks from crooks who don't have the time or resources to hunt the varmints down themselves.

I definitely recommend Pixsy. I encourage any photographers, professional and amateur alike, to check to see if images are being used without permission/consent. Image theft is still THEFT. Pixsy has certainly worked for me.

The leg work needed to check for your images on other sites, chase the infringers and then send invoices, etc, is daunting and frustrating. I know. I did it for a while. With mixed results, edging toward being an exercise in frustration. Pixsy, however, has taken on the brunt work, has legal teams ready to go and, also, negotiates for getting paid for my hard work. Is it perfect? No. Sometimes, they make the call that the case just isn't worth fighting, financially speaking. And, actually, I have to agree with them. Send a take down and consider it done. But, I have recovered money through their services. And, I am way over what their service costs. Especially when I factor in the time and energy it would have taken for me to do the work that they are doing. I would much rather be out finding clients and creating new images than chasing image thieves. If you are an image maker who enjoys chasing, then you are probably not a good fit. However, if you are an image maker who is in business to make money with your images, you should definitely sign up!

Pixsy is the absolute best! While shooting for DJs and other huge artists freelance for a couple years I ended up with a massive catalog of images. Most of these images made it onto my website where they were taken by various blogs and other outlets. I started to reverse image search my work and search for my images on google using my cameras serial number, which worked but I still had to do the legwork. Gave up on that and ended up finding out about Pixsy a couple months later. I signed up and attached my Instagram account. I immediately had matches and went ahead and submitted. This was last summer so about a year ago now. Since then I have had 4 cases settle and have netted over $2000 in fees for unauthorized usage. I still have over 100 cases pending and about 20 that are in process. I have used both the legal and licensing resolution. As I was writing this review I had another case finalize and just got another $450 deposited into my account!!

I'm a full time photographer and my work is being nicked! It's amazing just how much is stolen, usually from my client's websites. Pixsy has recovered 3 payments already. I used to do my own claims but it took up so much time. Pixsy are recovering more money per image (even after they take their share) than I did! The image search works so fast. One of my claims in process at the moment was reported by my client - he found my photo on his competitors website. So I uploaded his set to Pixsy and the search result came through in under an hour so I could proceed with the claim!
